Hyundai Mobis Deploys Proxim Wi-Fi to Improve Productivity at 90 Warehouse

Hyundai Mobis, Korea’s leading automotive parts manufacturer, wanted to make its workforce more efficient, and improve inventory tracking. To do that, the workforce had to be mobile, able to locate product inventories in the warehouses. Hyundai Mobis turned to technology to solve the problem. Now, the company has successfully deployed a large scale, secure enterprise Wi-Fi network across its 90 warehouses in Korea.

The network, which uses over 1,500 Proxim ORiNOCO Access Points, enables Hyundai Mobis’ mobile employees to check inventories in real time, improve planning and benefit from other mobile data applications using Wi-Fi enabled personal digital assistants (PDAs).
