JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior QA Engineer
Location
Job Description / Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for managing the MRP, production control planning, and master scheduling for Proxim WirelessMust be able to plan the master production schedule by creating, maintaining and verifying the MRP prior to sending to contract manufacturersThis job will also entail planning the internal demand for inventory as well as monitoring the internal production planning processIn addition, this individual will be responsible for reporting of the MRP to internal groups as well as the executive teamAdditional duties include assisting with special projects, interfacing with other departments and assisting members within the operations team
- Provide quality assurance assistance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and execute automated/ manual test cases for functional, system, and regression testing
- Serve as a Development resource during test planning, test and regression phases
- Review requirements and design documentation in order to identify and develop test cases
- Work with the team and QA Lead to become knowledgeable of the product functionality and to gain an understanding of the processes
- Identify and report software defects and testing metrics
- Participate in peer test case reviews
- Submit weekly QA project reports outlining progress, status, and issues in testing
- Participate in build process and ensure QA environments are stable for testing and feature qualification
- Support the QA and Development in ensuring project success and milestone factors are met
Experience Required
- Strong Network and Systematic process in setup, troubleshooting and diagnosing Features, Applications and Networks
Experience Desired
- Proven background in related QA, Network or Systems Engineering position
Education
APIC’s certification desiredGood understanding of Excel , and other productivity tools required
