Position:Test Verification/Reliability Engineer

This position will work cross functionally with the hardware and software engineering groups, manufacturing, customer support, and suppliers to conduct product root cause analysis manage the quality of products and processes, and ECO implementations of/at Proxim’s supply base Contract Manufacturers (CM) in Asia.

  • Milpitas, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Direct manufacturing verification tests (MVT) for new product introductions (NPI) – Provide reports.
  • Facilitate implementation and qualification of engineering change orders (ECO), material change orders (MCO), and deviations using Agile.
  • Collect production yield data, analyze yield problems, and drive improvement programs.
  • Perform de-rating/stress analysis, reliability prediction, critical item list, limited life items and safety.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and work with customer support team to resolve critical escalation issues. Coordinate resources from CM manufacturing/production engineering to resolve escalation issues.
  • Provide guidance to electrical design engineers in the development of highly reliable products.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering or related fields with exposure to RF, networking, telecom environments
  • Minimum 4 years experience with manufacturing verification test (MVT)
  • Knowledge of analog, RF, and microwave active and passive components
  • Exposure to RF electronics and integration supporting 802.11a, b, or g standard is desirable
  • Automation and strong Manufacturing Test Engineering background preferred
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and corrective action and publish customers’ 8D report
  • Self motivated and ability to function on high level in a team environment
